Service Contraindications

You might not be a suitable candidate for services if any of the following apply. You may still be serviced at your own discretion, but any of these contraindications may alter results or safety of the service. It is always best practice to consult your doctor if there are any concerns prior to booking.


- Current communicable illness (flu, covid19, etc.) | WHY: Health and safety hazard. In compliance with West Caldwell Health Department regulation § BH13-5g3, I cannot service you if you have any communicable illness that can be reasonably expected to be transmitted during the service. Avoid services until recovered.
- Heightened sensitivity to being touched around the eye area | WHY: Can lead to increased amounts of twitching and eye watering. This is a potential safety hazard and the service might not yield satisfactory results.
- Dry Eye | WHY: Lacking moisture in your eye can increase sensitivity. It is recommended to use non-medicated hydrating eye drops prior to the service.
- Active eye infections/styes | WHY: Health and safety hazard. Avoid services until recovered.
- Sensitivities/allergies to acrylic adhesives | WHY: Lash extension adhesives consist of acrylate polymers. Can potentially result in irritation or sensitivity.
- Alopecia | WHY: Increased rates of hair loss. Services might not yield satisfactory results.
- Chemotherapy | WHY: Can potentially cause increased rates of hair loss. Services might not yield satisfactory results
- Recent eye surgery in the past 6 weeks | WHY: Increased eye sensitivity. Avoid services until fully healed.
- Hormonal changes due to medications or health changes| WHY: Hormonal changes can potentially cause increased rates of hair loss. Services may not yield satisfactory results.
- High dose prescription retinoids (Epiduo, Accutane, RetinA, Tretinoin, etc.) | WHY: Increase in skin sensitivity.  It is best to avoid services until treatment is finished for at least 3-4 weeks. For Accutane, 6 months.
- Pregnancy | WHY: Services may be uncomfortable while pregnant due to laying on your back for 1-2 hours. Accommodations can be made, but a fully comfortable service cannot be guaranteed, especially if you are in the later stages of pregnancy. For any other concerns, please consult with your doctor.
- Permanent eye/brow makeup in the past 4 weeks | WHY: Risk of irritation or infection. Avoid services until fully healed.
- Face Botox/fillers in the past 4 weeks | WHY: Risk of altered results of Botox/fillers due to working around the face. Avoid services until fully healed and settled.
